About the Park and Wildlife
Mikumi National Park
Often called the “Little Serengeti” for its open savannah landscapes, Mikumi offers clear and unobstructed wildlife viewing. The park is sometimes referred to as an “African wildlife reception” — animals are present and relatively easy to spot, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and lions. Early morning drives can be especially rewarding, with a chance — if lucky — to encounter a leopard.
