Tanzania Visa for Safari Travelers

After booking a Tanzania safari trip, it is necessary to apply for a Tanzania visa.

Entry requirements vary for citizens of different countries.

You can also apply for an e-visa for Tanzania on this portal. The e-visa application is processed within 10 working days. Make sure you apply only through the official government website to avoid extra fees from third-party services.

Before applying for an e-visa, make sure your passport is valid for six months after your return from Tanzania.

Mandatory Travel Insurance in Tanzania

From 1 October 2026, foreign tourists entering Tanzania will be required to have mandatory Tanzanian travel insurance. It is valid in both mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar and costs USD 44 per person.
